  My purpose in this life finally found it's meaning

  well over 30 years ago on a lovely spring morning, my mother held me for the first time and looked onto my little pink face and said, my little baby is going to make a difference.

  i heard her recount this story over and over throughout my life.

  i never really understood what my purpose could be.

  Taste/Scent Related Memories - Have you ever had one of those....

  have you ever had one of those intoxicating moments where you are walking down a supermarket aisle and you suddenly caught a perfume that you'd not smelt since you were small and it brought back a flood of memories, your first grade teacher, an auntie?

  or a taste?

  i just had a taste moment - i kind of feel bad about admitting to it though.

  Absolutely. There was this beautiful, ethereal creature I had in some HS classes in Ridgetown, Ontario back in the early 70's. Red hair, green/yellow eyes, olive complexion, masonry outhouse figure . .sigh . . . I was hopelessly stricken. But being the geek I was I was totally outclassed.

  Anyway, she used to wear the original "Ambush" perfume. I am 54 years old now, but whenever I smell that scent I *still* instantly flash back to her in my minds eye. It is and always was a very intense flashback.

  this is an epiphany i had about 5 years ago that forever changed my attutude towards the bible, the god of the old testament (and new testament) and all religion in general.

  esp since the borg hold him up as a hero of faithfulness and one of the great faithful men of old.

  it was quite a jolt to my worldview when that realization hit me like a frikkin bus.. thoughts?.

  it is true there are people here who care for/ about me, and it doesn't take too much time out of my day to just post a litte update, so i figured i would.

  i heard from a little birdy with a big nose that my name has been mentioned once or twice around here, and that prompted me to stick my nose in.

  this just popped into my noggin at 6:30 am while i'm firing up my gis workstation at work.

  AWESOME! That was one of my fave Muppets skits!! Also up there was James Coburn telling Animal "Be serene . ."

  FWIW, there was a kid in my Congo in Concord, NH back inthe 70s - 80s that was a frikken dead ringer for Beaker. He was a twit.
